In this assigned project, completed in a Manufacturing and Production course, I learned the steps for making a usable wooden shelf and applied them over several weeks. I was taught how to operate various machines such as a planer, miter saw, jointer, and drill press. I learned the importance of taking my time measuring accurately and that it’s always better to have extra wood rather than too little.
